RURAL LIBRARY

DEVA is providing ongoing support to a rural library and learning center in North Bali that was set up and is managed by a local man and his wife in their family home.

Every day after school and in the holidays the local children squeeze into their small room to hear stories, play games, and learn how to count and read.

DEVA regularly visits the library bringing donations of new and secondhand books, games, writing materials and nutrition for children in need.

We estimate that US$418 would provide them with a room double the size they already have. This would accommodate many more children.
