Welcome
Welcome to DEVA Blog! Visit our Blog for up-to-date information about our projects to sponsor and support disadvantaged children in Bali and their families.
DEVA is an Indonesian non-profit registered as part of the DEWI Foundation that began in 2006. We began with projects to provide disadvantaged women with trade skills training so that they could improve their livehoods and support their children. The success of these projects and the support of donors and volunteers led to the development of our school sponorship and education projects in North and East Bali in early 2007.
We now actively support a number of children to attend junior and intermediate school. This has been achieved with the generous support of sponsors that provide funds to individual children so that they can pay for school uniforms, shoes and textbooks. A small some is also set aside to pay for these children’s basic health costs such as visits to the doctor, milk money and supplementary vitamins. Bali may be a tourist island but there are still many families in rural areas that struggle to simply provide enough food for their childen on a daily basis.
Visit our Bali Poverty page for more information or email us to find out more about how we work or how to get involved.
Thank you!
